MacIntosh complainant following case as in Nepal


SYDNEY — A complainant in the Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh case is continuing to closely follow developments in the convicted pedophile's case as it makes its way through the Nepalese justice system.

A recent Canadian network television report updated MacIntosh's case, noting that his appeal of a seven-year prison sentence by a Nepalese court last year could be heard any day. The former Strait area businessman had been found guilty of sexually abusing a nine-year-old boy.

The televised report also noted that MacIntosh has been diagnosed with leukemia and some involved with the Watch Project, a children's advocacy group in Nepal that worked to have MacIntosh investigated, are concerned his health concerns may lead to the 71-year-old's release.  (more...)
