Police probe bomb threat to TDSB


TORONTO - An anonymous bomb threat made in an e-mail sent to the Toronto District School Board office has sparked a police investigation.

TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird says the threat was not directed at any school in particular and that school bus carriers, principals, vice-principals, superintendents and managers were notified of the threat, in addition to Toronto Police.

“We received an e-mail warning this morning to the board that we contacted police about, essentially similar to Quebec,” he said Tuesday afternoon.

According to CBC News, anonymous bomb threats made in Quebec on Tuesday forced the searching, closure and in some cases evacuation of a number of schools.  (more...)
