Greville Janner's alleged victims call for review of 'no charge' ruling

Alleged victims have called for a review of the decision to not charge Lord Janner
Lawyers acting for a number of Lord Janner's alleged victims have formally requested a review of the decision not to prosecute the 86-year-old over child abuse claims.

Law firm Slater and Gordon wrote to the Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders yesterday to call on her to review her decision to not charge the peer with alleged offences because of she believes he is too ill to stand trial.

The law firm is representing "several" people who say Lord Janner sexually abused them in the 1970s and 1980s.

Earlier this month, Ms Saunders, announced Lord Janner was too ill with dementia to stand trial.  (more...)
