She considered the risks of her affair with a 16-year-old student but couldn’t stop the relationship, former teacher Erin Osmond testified at her trial in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench.

Osmond and the alleged victim sent sexually explicit texts to each other in the days after her teaching contract at a Watrous high school ended in February 2013, and they met a month later for sexual intercourse, court heard Wednesday during the third day of Osmond’s trial.

Crown prosecutor Jaimie MacLean asked Osmond if the sexually explicit conversations were appropriate to have with a teen who was her student just a day before.  (more...)
