Drag Show on Catholic Campus Turned Diabolical, Group Says

The drag show at the University of San Diego (USD) on April 10 took a satanic turn, according to an email alert from the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) which had a correspondent at the event.

The Cardinal Newman Society reported last week that the Vatican’s Congregation for Education stated that a previous drag show at the Catholic university caused “scandal”. USD still proceeded with its third annual drag show titled “Celebration of Gender Expression: Supreme Drag Superstar”.

According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, USD spokesman Tim O’Malley defended the event, saying, “We do not mean to demean our critics. Gender expression and identity, for some people, is not an area to be explored. For some people, that simply is wrong. However, the law of the church is silent on cross dressing. There no evidence that cross dressing is inherently homosexual.”

FCDF reported that “local drag queen/ transvestite ‘Tootie Nefertootie’” was the master of ceremonies for the event that was held on campus last week. Nefertootie, whom the group says promotes same-sex marriage, reportedly dressed for the final performance of the evening in a black robe and a goat-horned headdress while singing a song titled “Good N’Evil”  (more...)
