Moms sound off against sexually graphic books in elementary school

MONTREAL — Two mothers have launched a website to warn parents about sexually explicit books lining shelves in elementary-school libraries.

Monique and Nicole are using fake names on the website to avoid possible reprisals by their Montreal school.

Monique founded the site after her 11-year-old daughter brought home a book entitled L'Enchanteur (The Enchanter), a book aimed at teenagers.

One explicit passage read: "my breasts touched his body. His mouth kisses them greedily. His legs around mine and I feel his well-hardened penis."

The book in question was later removed from the library, but both women told QMI Agency that the school continues to stock other books that include graphic sexual content.  (more...)
